Witch Hazel lotion will take out the sting and not hurt it. I had major sunburn on my face and used it and my face had no ill effects after the scabs fell off that is.

If the skin is broken, DO NOT put ANYTHING on there. See a doctor right away. Sunburn can be a dangerous and very painful condition. You can easily get infection where your skin is blistered and broken. Putting Noxema and things on are only a very temporary fix, and are virtually useless. Go to the emergency room right away. They will assess your status and advise you as to what to do next.
After recovering from this bout of sunburn, you must forever after this use a SUNBLOCK of at least 30 SPF and apply it several times while you're out in the sun. NEVER go our in the heat of the day. Wear protective clothing. A tan may look sexy, but skin cancer doesn't. Excessive exposure to sun contributes to skin cancer. My advice is to go to the ER right away.
