Do you think health care would be more affordable if Americans took care of themselves, instead of eating like crap all the time and not exercising? Do we really need a "public option" for people who can't afford insurance?

Healthcare would be much more affordable if we totally eliminated the middlemen--the health insurance companies--and let patients and doctors conduct free market business directly.

Do you really think health care should cost anything in the first place?

I understand what you're saying, but it completely bypasses the major point that health care is not a privilege, it's a right.

Of course it would be more affordable - in the US, and everywhere else.

Yes, we do need affordable insurance for everyone. Too many families have had to declare bankruptcy over huge uninsured or under-insured medical bills. This should NEVER happen to a family that just wants to keep people alive.

    Yes it would.

    Yes we do.

One subject does not necessarily have much to do with the other.

Do you think our economy would be a lot better off if Americans weren't always trying to cheat each other?

Do we really need a Justice System that enforces the laws against cheating each other?

If you're against a "public option" for people who can't afford health insurance, I'm curious what your solution is. Shall we just let them die?
