Help answer this question below.
Absolutely but it has to be long walks of over 1:20 minutes or so
Yes, it is. When you walk in a normal pace, you burn about 300 calories per hour. With jogging you burn 700 calories per hour. When you come home hungry and thirsty from this exercise and you drink a small glass of fruit juice and eat one sandwich you gained all the lost calories back. It is a delicate balance in between calories burnt and intake of food.
Very much so and it doesn't have to be power walking either.
Just consistently walking at least 10,000 steps (approx 3 miles) most days of the week will yield surprising results.
One of which is some serious toning to the legs, waist and bum.
Well duhhh!!!
Yes as long as you can break a sweat. If you don't feel tired by the end of your walk, you probably didn't work out hard enough.
Sure can; if done consistently and for over 30 minutes a day if done briskly or longer if not.
Only if you are also dieting. Eating the same crap you did before and walking every day will not lose you much weight at all. If you do both then definitely. =D
Yes it is. It's actually much kinder on your knees to walk instead of run.
yep! I did
As long as you have Strong Core muscles:):)
Certainly. Brisk walking for a half hour or more a day is better than jogging for burning calories.
it only works if it is brisk walk and six km per day.
Yes. My friends mom started eating a lot better, and drinking diet soda. She walked three miles everyday and lost 40 pounds within a year. But it all on what you eat and stick with it. I read an article that you need to exercise at least 30 minutes a day to jump start your metabolism. so...+4
