The number of points you can give at any time is related to your level. See http://www.orangefrogproductions.com/ofp2m_faq_ab_pnts_lvls_rtgspwr.shtml#levels for a table showing when your "ratings power" changes. ;-)

You need to keep enjoying the site giving what points your level allows and as you rise up the levels your point giving capacity will rise.
Level 43 is when you get to give the maximum points. You will be amazed how soon you reach that level if you are enjoying yourself.

Now you are at Level 14 and can uprate (UR) answers by (+3).
A few hundred more points and you'll be at Level 16 and can UR questions by (+3) as well.
Keep it up. At about Level 45 or so, you'll be maxed out on the amount of points you can UR people (+5 for questions, +6 for answers). That will be somewhere around 10,000 points, give or take.

You're only at level 12. You can't give max points until level 42.

You're reading For some unknown reason I haven't been able to give more than 2 points for answers I really liked. I've wanted to give 5 or 6 but, couldn't. Why?
