How far away does your very best friend live and how long have you been best friends?

#1) Met in HS... 38+ years ago. About 45 minutes away, but haven't seen him for years.

#2) Met in Elementary School... 45+ years ago. About 45 minutes away, but haven't seen him in even longer.

#3) Met when we both worked as security guards, 26+ years ago. Lost track, he found me on the net about 8-10 years ago and we emailed back and forth, he retired from the Navy. Lives in Virginia (work) and SC (his family) (I live in Indiana). It's been about 22 years since we've seen other than pix.

#4) Met her in college, 30+ years ago. Ran into her after my wife & I moved to Indy - about 21 years ago or so. We've traded emails, since, but I haven't seen her since then. She lives probably 45 minutes away.

#5) Met him in college, 30+ years ago. I knew where he worked/lived after college, and tracked him down via email about 10 years later. We trade emails at times. I haven't seen him since #4 got married to her first husband. He lives in Maryland.

#6) Met her soon after college. Married her... Had 2 boys together. Divorced 13 years ago, after 15 years together, 13 married. I don't know how "best" she still is, but she lives about 20-30 minutes away.

#7) MOST IMPORTANT ONE. Met her in 2000. She moved in in 2001. Engaged in Oct, 2002. Married Dec 24, 2004. She lives with me. Sometimes 10-15 feet, sometimes nothing. ;-)

Obviously, I believe you can have multiple "best" friends, and don't have to see them every day to still consider them that.

my best friend lives about 17 hours away from me, pretty soon 8 hours once he moves to texas. Ive known him for about 8 years, he was also my first crush. Hes psychotic but i am to, to a degree. but we both know how we think and how to help each other.

Roughly 1000 miles (about 19 hours). Geeze.. I met him when I was ten so roughly 13 years. Ha ha...+4

She lives 4 miles away, and a 10 minute drive, just seen her 2 days ago. +5

She lives in the same house, O miles. 21 years, married 20 years.

She's five minutes bike down the road from me :) And I've known her for most of this year.
