Write that person a letter. I gaurantee that he/she will read it. If you're still being avoided then it's their loss. At least you will know in your heart that you've tried all you can to reconcile.

If they are avoiding you it is best to leave them alone that is there way of saying they don't want anything to do with you and are to angry or hurt to deal with you. If you contact them it will just piss them off even more.
