It is possible that you didn't get your period because you are too skinny or because you have other hormone problems unrelated to menopause. I would ask your doctor, though.

Technically since menopause is defined as the time in a woman's life when menstrual periods permanently stop, you could call it menopause if you never have a period again.

However, at your age it is likely you will have a period again and for many years.

There are reasons a young woman could have an erractic period like:
    •Medications
    •Significant weight gain or loss
    •Over-exercise
•Poor nutrition (or a diet too high in carbohydrates)
    •Drug use
    •Eating disorders
    •Increased stress

    First you may be pregnant.

Second you may have an erratic period. Best thing to do is go see your doctor. I had a family member with this problem. It got much better when she went on the pill. It helped control the erratic nature of it. Also physical activity, stress and diet can cause an erratic period.

You cannot get menopause so young. There is more then likely something wrong, or pregnancy. Go see your doctor ASAP. You don't want to have a medical problem an not get it treated immediately. The faster something is caught the fast it can be cured.

No. It could be because you are stressed though. I once went a few months without getting my period, because I was extremely stressed out :S ++

Well you will get a lot of diagnoses on here all wrong unless you go to a gynecologist like a normal person would.

You actually can I have heard of girls under 20 getting a rare case of it. However that may not be the case. I am guessing that if you WERE pregnant you would know by know since it has been like 6 months. Are you overexercising? Are you sick like do you ave any disorders? Do you weigh under 90 lbs? Do you have an eating disorder? Are you stressed? Those are the main reasons why your period would skip for such a long period of time. I remember mine skipped for like 2 months and I didn't have sex. It was the stress and my eating disorder. Hope that helps.

    No, you can't.

You're 15, so it's likely that you'll have weird periods for a while. You might miss some, or they might come at unexpected times.

    OR, you could be pregnant.

OR, diet and exercise changes could have led to this.

See a doctor and be sure.

It is possible, although extremely unlikely. Even Early Onset Menopause is rare for people younger than 30. Go visit the doctor, there are too many alternatives for anyone to guess.

its definately not menopause. look at th history of your period if it was always light and unevenly timed your probably just unhealthy. to get a regular period go on birth control, it is not just for preventing pregnancy these days :)

its usual to most women, for delayed menstration you can take provera pills to adjust and send it back to normal. . some are using that an abortion pills, so you need to bring a prescription from doctors if you want to buy. . and that's what you have to do, consult a doctor, not friends in answerbag. . . :)

Of course not. There are many reasons why at 15 you don't get your period ... none of which would be menopause.

You are having irregular periods. I didn't get my period until age 15. My cycle was very irregular. It only came on maybe 4 times a year. Sometimes it didn't come on at all. I was able to have a child. My cycle is still irregular and I am 35. Its like a blessing and a curse. My cycle will come on now maybe once a year but sometimes it will stay on for months at a time.

Your hormones are in a fragile state. The slightest thing can cause you not to get a period at your age. If your cycle isn't regular for whatever reason and it really bothers you, I recommend maybe you talk to your parents and doctor about possibly going on the pill. That's the only way they could get my cycle even at that age, and it worked. I wouldn't worry too much about it, your cycle probably just hasn't evened out. You will be alright.

No, you can't get meanopause at 15. That is when you're 45-50. Periods may be inconstant at these ages so there is nothing to worry about. This situation will be more balanced when you're older.

Either you're 4 months pregnant and haven't realized it yet or you have a very serious condition called endometriosis and if you don't get to the doctor soon, you're in BIG TROUBLE!!

dont worry you just havent regulated your periods yet. Some can go for months at a time and return and then disapear again. It is mainly at your age down to stress :) relax a little and dont worry . Mother nature will be back soon

Menapause usually starts around age 50. Every month since puberty your body, has ripened some of the half a million, or so eggs stored in the ovaries. But now around age 50 there are only a few eggs left.
