Yes it's happened. Crazy people with nothing important to add to a discussion usually start name calling.

many times! In fact I would guess that about 50% of the arguments I have had with people resulted in them not knowing a thing they were talking about and resorting to merely winning the argument for argument's sake and not proving their point or convincing me otherwise.

I've come to find people hear and think what they want to think and reason or critical thinking rarely have much to do with it when it comes to people that do not know what the heck they are talking about.

    Mavericks just doin a flyby

That's usually about the time when I say "Thank you very much, have a nice day" and just walk away. There's no sense in wasting energy trying to have a conversation with a crazy person. It's kinda like having a battle of wits with an un-armed person. Fun for the first few minutes until you realize how sad it really is. : )

Yes I have encountered such a problem. I don't know what is worse in such situation. Realising you are arguing with an idiot or the fact that when you have come to realise that, the other person wont stop arguing about it and goes on and on about it.

Same goes for apologising. That after you have apologised to someone and told them why you were in a bad mood they cant get over it. That is usually where the real fight starts.

Everyday! My wife and I are always arguing. I wish she would just mind me and behave she would make me a lot happier and she could learn to be happy if she would just accept the fact that I am head of my house.
