Definitely the bum's rush. They are so broke these days, they need all the patients they can get. The insurance companies are eathing them up alive.

    I've had both.
    .
I used to have a doctor that made a point of always spending at least 20 minutes with each patient, and I found myself looking for ways to get away without being rude, and i have had a doctor who showed no interest in collecting facts or explaining his diagnosis.
    .
I never tet the second get away with it. And, of course, I found another doctor...

I don't know if it's because I'm in a healthy area or something, but I don't feel rushed at all.

It feels like they aren't even listening to you, much less understanding you. Three minutes and they are gone, you have to talk fast and not forget anything. I don't think you get your money's worth.

They spend enough time with me but I wonder that about my wife's gyno as I was reading about new guidelines of having women not get mammograms until they are 50 and then women only having pap test every other year does that mean the doctor will have to enlarge his/her practice to keep their standard of living and what about the level of care my wife receives? Will it drop?

I find that doctors today are very rushed. They are overbooked. I refuse to wait more than fifteen minutes, so I seldom see a doctor. I don't believe a doctor is more important than me and has the right to keep me waiting one or two hours--or keep me waiting at all. It is arrogant and disrespectful. Sometimes, they don't even look you in the eyes while they are dealing with you. It's like you are just another number. I miss the days when doctors actually took time and care and used to actually make house calls. In the way, distant past.
