You're reading I clocked a pickup truck speeding with lasar radar. 78 in a 45 mph construction zone. driver denied speeding and that his speedometer was accurate. looked at dash, no speedometer at all. missing. arrest or no arrest for false info. to the police?

i thought everyone on AB knew that i wear the uniform. after the stop and the driver telling me that his speedometer was accurate, i looked at the dash of the truck and there was a hole where the speedometer was suppose to be. the speedometer was sitting on the passenger seat next to the driver.

Oh you're a cop?
Well technically he's telling the truth. The speedometer didn't indicate him doing the speed you said he was.
I'd be writing the boy a big hefty fine. Fines double in construction zones in Oregon. And driving an unsafe vehicle?
I don't know the DMV laws that well.
