Intelligence without wisdom leads to hubris and ultimately to ruin.
Intelligence with wisdom in equal or greater measure is something you can never have too much of.
But as for your question, I already reach for both on a daily basis in my study of great minds throughout the ages, and particularly the words and deeds of our founding fathers.
Is there any situation in which weakness in one setting could be a strength in another. What and how?

I'm on the opposite side of that coin SD. I'm not nearly as intelligent as I'd like to be...if I were I would understand why people hate, why cruelty exists and what makes people turn on one another instead of helping one another. Thank you for your answer and Happy Monday to you! :)
