I only recall one part of the bible mentioning lesbianism... It was in Romans:
1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient
However, I do believe that it *was* Paul saying that, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.
Most lesbians I've seen would fall into the category of "undesirables" as far as women go. I consider it a blessing to have them cleaned off the playing field. I don't know what the bible says, this is just my good horse sense.
There is nothing wrong with lesbianism or being gay for that matter. They are people just like straight people are. The sad truth is most of society is ignorant and intolerable of what their preconceived notions are and blinded by views & opinions ; religious, political, their peers and the way they were brought up. The bible is a bit murky when it comes to man on man.
And says nothing about lesbians.
The "vile affections" mentioned- is a strictly circular argument.
Someone decided that vile affections means something they don't like so they decided it must mean lesbians.
But the bible does say quite clearly that: "it is good for a man to not touch a woman".
1 Cor. 7:1.
No, though this may sound harsh I am talking from a place of complete logic not emotion; also I in no way condone rape.
However it social & biblical issue with gayness is the fact that it is counter productive to procreation. The bible gives clear examples of God going so far as to kill men that pull out when they are suppose to be getting women pregnant.
The cold hard truth of the matter is that if the men of the world decided to all become gay tomorrow we would be extinct within two generations but if all the women in the world decided to become lesbians men could over power and force reproduction for the sake of human survival. It's just not as much of a threat.

I'm not of the opinion that "gay male activities" are an abomination, so the premise of your question is shifty from the word go.

Really? So the following verses do not prove that those acts are considered an abomination?
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death ; their blood [shall be] upon them.

This seems to clearly indicate what the opinion of God is towards such actions. If you have a different opinion, then recognize that you are setting yourself up as superior in judgment to God. That is not an enviable position to take when one considers your position in the afterlife.

Actually it doesn’t blow my mind. However your interpretation of what is described is incorrect.
With regard to 1 Sam 18:1-4. The incident in question took place after David brought back the head of Goliath to Saul. The conferring of garments is a way of honoring or rewarding someone. To give garments that were the personal tokens of the king or of the royal family is an especially high honor. In an earlier quote, 1 Sam 17:38-39 Saul gave him his own armor and shield as a sign that he had Saul’s blessing and authority to fight Goliath in single combat.
We see in 1 Sam 18:1 that Jonathan and David became very good friends. We see in 1 Sam 18:2 That Saul took David to become a member of the royal household. In the full quote from 1 Sam 18:4 we see that “Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him; and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow and to his girdle.” In doing so he was signifying that David was favored by the heir to the royal line. He had the trust of the royal family in that they not only allowed him to be armed in their presence, but that they trusted him sufficiently to have him bear their personal arms.
This honoring does not imply a homosexual relationship, but rather a deep and abiding friendship.
You assert that 1 Sam 20:31-33 shows that Saul tried to kill David for having a homosexual affair with his son Jonathan. But in earlier chapters we see the real reason for Saul’s anger. In chapter 18, when David returns from slaughtering the Philistines the crowd sings of Saul killing his thousands, but David killing tens of thousands.
1 Sam 18:8-9 “And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him: and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands’ and what can he have more, but the kingdom? And Saul eyed David from that day and forward.”
Thus we see that the wrath of Saul was not because of any homosexual relationship, but because Saul thought David represented a threat to the continuation of his line as king of Israel.
As for 1 Sam 20-41, it is not unusual in middle eastern countries, even to this day for men to kiss each other at greetings or partings. When Judas greeted Jesus in the garden to betray him, the kiss was not one of homosexuality. It was and is a common cultural practice without sexual significance.
