Upgraded my laptop last night from xp home to a version of xp professional. But now, the in-built speakers don't work? Any way to fix this?

  I'm trying to play a video via HDMI out to my TV; I get video but no audio. What's up & how can I get both video/audio out to my TV? My computer is a HP dv5 1000us laptop-Vista Home Prem.,using HDMI cable. The video on TV is good-no outputted audio.
