he can TRY to do anything, but has the court given you custody of the child? then he would have to prove that somehow you are endangering the child to have that reversed.
by the way, if your ex is threatening to have your child taken away from you, get a restraining order. he has no say in your social life anymore and you shouldn't allow him to get away with bullying.
