My personal favorite: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. In these is summed up all the Law and the prophets."
To be or not to be.....no, that's not it. Hmm.....
Call me Ishmael.....no, not that one.....
I was born......that doesn't sound right......+5
Love is patient, love is kind,
Love does not insist on its own way.
Love bears all things, believes all things,
Hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. - I Corinthians 13:4-8
(Revelation 21:3-4)
"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away.”
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." 1 John 3:2
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
I draw comfort from these phrases. Of course I'm a sociopathic killer.
Leviticus 20:9
If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.
20:10 If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.
20:13 If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death.
Deuteronomy 22:20-1 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the girl’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house.
Exodus 35:2
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.
Deuteronomy 7:1-2 When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations . . . then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.
20:10-17 When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. . . . This is how you are to treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby.
However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you.
Nahum 1:8 "But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies."
Shows that god doesn't care for life much, he just drowns everyone. Very inspirational indeed.
it is better to dwell in hte wilderness than in the home of an angry and contencious woman
Abraham strapped his ass to a tree and walked a mile.

Behold, I shall corrupt thy seed, and spread dung upon thy faces.

Good passage if you think they're out to get you:
"And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him. [I Chronicles 2:3] The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him."
"I am the Gawd of Hell fire, and I bring you
Fire, I'll take you to burn
Fire, I'll take you to learn
I'll see you burn!"
I forget the exact chapter and verse, but it was recited from the Holy Scriptures by the Iron Butterfly.

There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
Jules, from Pulp Fiction.
NOTE: Yes, I know this isn't what Ezekial 25 actually says...in fact, only the last sentence is in there. It's a movie quote.
<EDIT>
My wife, when we were planning our wedding out, once asked me if I had any scripture verses I wished to have read during the ceremony.
So I pulled out her Mom's Bible and opened it up to 1 Timothy 2:12 and read the following:
"But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
There WAS a moment of silence...followed by a "No."
After that, pretty much all I had to do in preparation for the wedding was wear a tux and show up on time. Saved me a LOT of work, that did!
Do not let hearts be troubled; You have faith in God; Have faith also in me. In my Fathers house there are many dwelling places.. If I Go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so where I am you will also be... Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. john 14
