Not getting it for the reason LAoV cited. H1N1 is WAY overblown, it has killed a tiny number of people worldwide (something on the order of 5000 last I checked) which is pathetic when one considers that the normal flu kills about 30,000 a year in the US alone. Further, I've known three people who have had it so far, of those only one found it problematic to deal with and he has a compromised immune system due to other medical problems. The other two found it to be little more than the normal flu, it stuck around a bit longer and was nastier overall but not the thing it has been made out to be.
I have not had it, and will not get it.
I'm not a fan of putting substances known and proven to be harmful into my body to prevent something that is unlikely to cause any lasting damage.
I get influenza almost every year. I feel sick for two or three days, relax, and drink a lot of orange juice. When it's over I lost five pounds and caught up on some much needed sleep. Win-win.

You're reading I've been offered the H1N1 vaccine but have heard so much bad press about the safety of it, having been rushed out. Would/have you have it?
Comments
But it does worry me that the UK vaccine contains squalene/mercury which the US version doesn't. I just think it's been rushed out without sufficient testing. Remember thalidomide? UK kids of the late 50s do.
