    Yes it does.

Once again the Republicans proved their worth and ignored what was happening around them in an effort to appear competent.

lol, for nearly 2 years now they have been saying "the economy is recovering" the reason unemployment is so high is because corporate america has stripmined america destroying their customer base en mass. when the masses are impoverished so executives can have 6, 7+ figure salaries the economy crumbles. base workers are not jsut the backbone of the company, but they are also consumers/customer base.

I knew it was pretty bad lol. I looked at my local paper and barely saw any jobs for menial work, usually it's a couple pages long but not this time.

Check out this link from bloomberg. It shows how much jobs were losing. We may still be losing jobs but the decrease is getting lower and lower- that's why the stock market is rising. Things are beginning to improve.

It's like the spread of a bad disease. What's really scary is that the real unemployment rate is actually higher as the current stats do not include people whoo have simply stopped looking, working part tiime etc.

It sure does, and under Bozo Obama and his circus of inept clowns it will only get worse.

Well Obama said the stimulus would take about two years before it's results were truly felt, so I say wait until March or April of 2011, and see where we are then.

Cool link,it is what it is due to whom?

when did this all start to go downhill?

when will it rise from this recession?

Who is the leader bearing the brunt of this mess?

Why him and not those who started this mess to begin with, because he doesn't play the games the republicans do,so far I haven't heard that he blames Bush for this,he is trying to make forward progress, even in the face of the republican party, thank goodness there are enough dem's in office to keep things going forward instead of filibusters and dragging of the feet.

Well where I live in North Carolina, it was announced that the unemployment rate is currently 10.2%; not as bad as the 25% unemployment rate of the Great Depression though.

Go to India, go to Africa. That will put the unemployment rate into perspective. We are blessed here.
