well if he was the one who was a jerk then this is what I would do.. return the gift, dont get him anything because he was a jerk about it. He should be happy with anything you get him because you dont really need to get him anything at all. And for the fact that he is wanting you to apologize to him is absurd. He should be apologizing to you for being a jerk about a gift. If he treats you like that over a gift then Im sure he'll act that way over something else, why put up with it?
