I did grow up in the 1960s and it was brilliant - such an innocent time.
I find that the 60's were, by and large, overwhelmingly rigid. Except for the flower power movement, most people were quite staid and unyielding in their beliefs in almost every area conceivable, from religion to medicine to social graces. Certainly, there was no room at all for those who did not fit what society deemed "normal". Anyone who didn't fit the mold was soundly disapproved of, and alienation was invariably the end result. +5

You're reading Do you ever wish you grew up in the 60's? Society seems so kind of 'rigid' nowdays. It's all about money now, people are alienated from each other.
