    Unfortunately, not in the foreseeable future. The current deficit is in the trillions. When Bill Clinton was in office he balanced the budget before his term was over. A great man in my opinion. One of the reasons I would have voted for Hillary was in hopes that with a little help from Bill, she would balanced the budget. With the war still going on and millions being spent every month, it all seems hopeless now. We have to pull our troops out and set caps on all goods being sold in the U.S. Part of the problem is greed in corporate America. I don't know how difficult it will be. But that's some place to start.

    Difficult in the extreme to balance the budget, much moreso to reduce the deficit. China already owns us.

    It will be extremely easy to balance the budget, and for that ease we must thank Barack Hussein Obama.

    His idiotic policies make it unnecessary for GOP to consider elcetability of their 2012 candidate, any GOP nominee will automatically win. Which opens the door to such extreme fiscal conservatives as Sarah Palin and Ron Paul.

    Once they move to the Oval Office they would know what to do and will have a strong mandate to do it:
    * privatize social security and medicare
    * cancel global warming research funding given to the frauds
    * tax union health care
    * make free trade agreement

    In a year or two the budget will be back in the green and in another 20 years we'll be debt free and prosperous and live happily ever after.

    First we need to export more than we important. We must renegotiate NAFTA.
    Does anyone remember when China was in debt to the US?
    LOL I was a very little girl; but my Mother use to tell me we don't buy Chinese products they are all JUNK. People use to say they will never pay us back.
    Do you think they did?
    We can start balancing the budget my dropping the America has to save the world alone attitude. It time to save America. It time to bring our manufacturing bases home.
    It is time to demand solutions from Politicians and tell them to stop the rhetoric and hype.

    Well, according to those figures, we'd need to eliminate all spending and then some, so I say that instead of cutting off electricity, we go past that--how does negative electricity sound to you?
