Why wont my lava lamp work? when heated the lava tends to form a ball and sit at the bottom of the lamp with very slight movements. its fresh out of the box new and worked normally for 2 days before this started happening.

    Put a new bulb in it taking care that it is the correct wattage. If it still doesn't work, send it back.

    Most likely, you just need a hotter bulb.
