Help answer this question below.
I hope this is not a serious question.
Hey Hitler did that, it didn't turn out too well LOL.
No. Everyone would have to wear one.
that would be really difficult. It would mean the about 96% of the people I work with would be wearing "the mark." It would look like the company uniform.
It's the word "force" that always gets me.
No,that would be not be a good idea.
I see your point, but this sounds like an invasion of privacy. I'd be more worried about having isues withthe people who haven't been diagnosed yet!
No, because you would be making that person a target of persecution.
There was another group that was forced to wear stars and look how that turned out.
I don't think so - There are such things as privacy.
What do you want to wear?
Not forced but I would imagine some wear things like medical alert bracelets. You know, that alert medical people to allergies, stuff like that.
Yeah, let's chip away at people's rights a bit more.
Sure- maybe in nazi Germany.
No. but I think it would be a great idea for sex offenders, and in some cases, people with a violent criminal past.
The last time this sort of thing happened was augmented by the Nazi Party . We all know how that finished up . I hope you are ashamed at asking this question .
No.
what is this the holocaust?
Sure, along with convicted DUI offenders, child molesters, rapists, and all the criminal offenders out there, lets label everyone:)
Would you?
If the people with disabilities wear something in public then that would be taking after Hitler and thou shalt beith torn down from thou power and shall be killed for all to see
P.S. sorry if you cant read it but I'm still in Shakespeare mode
no, absolutely not.
1) No, this would probably only reinforce the social stigma associated with the mentally challenged. Also, this kind of things should never be compulsory.

2) By the way, for those who did make here a "reductio ad Hitlerum", I found out that the Nazis did not invent such badges:
"The yellow badge (or yellow patch), also referred to as a Jewish badge, was a cloth patch that Jews were ordered to sew on their outer garments in order to mark them as Jews in public. It is intended to be a badge of shame associated with antisemitism. In both Christian and Islamic countries, persons not of the dominant religion were intermittently compelled by sumptuary laws to wear badges, hats, bells or other items of clothing that distinguished them from members of the dominant religious group.
The yellow badge that was compulsory in the Middle Ages was revived by the German Nazis."

3) A white cane for blind or visually impaired people makes much more sense:
"A white cane is used by many people who are blind or visually impaired, both as a mobility tool and as a courtesy to others. Not all modern white canes are designed to fulfill the same primary function, however: There are at least five different varieties of this tool, each serving a slightly different need."

When Hitler stated that all Jews in occupied Denmark would have to wear yellow stars to designate who they were, King Christian II of Denmark decreed that all Danes would also wear yellow stars.
Yeah! Yeah! That's a reeeeeally good idea!!
And I should wear one announcing that I'm an Atheist too!
Then we'll all get stabbed, not just disabled people :D

You're reading Should people with mental disabilities be forced to wear some sort of signal in public, maybe like a star or something, to let others know that the person they are dealing with may have some issues should something happen?
