It is a quadratic equation. An exponential equation is one in which the variable is an exponent. Quadratic equations take the form y = ax^2 + bx + c, with a not equal to zero. In this case, a=1, b and c = 0.
Actually, I didn't see the decimal in front of the 2. I don't know the answer.
