Usually it is because you either have a disk or file error that must be fixed first, oryour hard drive is more than 85% full. Try to free up about 25% of free space (15% free is required, but 25% is better!)

Iit isn't what Tom said you probably have a program starting up and making it start again from scratch. Turn off your screensaver and anything else that may access your hard disk.

Dell PC works fine until I insert USB plug into port. screen goes black and gives errors. Hold in the power button start up runs perfect.
