  • Most people tell me I look old for my age!
  • Until recently, no. All I wanted was to be respected in the workplace and not thought of as a little kid. Now that I'm 30 and have nary a wrinkle or gray hair, it's pretty nice!
  • I dont get that phrase exactly that way, I usually get you dont look 27 frequently to which I feel really good about
  • Actually, the only thing in life that has been kind to me is that I look a little younger than I actually am. Still, they say, "You look good for your age." Sigh.
  • Yes, although "you're aging very well" probably sounds nicer.
  • I like being told "You look young for your age" but I HATE being told "You look good for your age" because it implies that I don't actually look good - just good for my age.
  • I'll take it.
  • -----------im 56yo now and it does not happen to much any more but when it does it make me feel good inside
  • No,i dont think its very nice.
  • Umm I guess so. +5
  • I have trouble receiving compliments in general, so a gamut of feelings might arise, besides feeling flattered. But I can usually tell the speaker's intentions, even if it's not those exact words. If it's intended as a compliment, yeah, sure, that's great. Sometimes I've said in a nice way, " This is what ' ____ years old' looks like " or " why shouldn't ' ____ years old' look this way? " :) +5
  • Well, I had one guy at work who told me he thought I was 20 years old, like him, but I didn't know whether that was good or bad. Lol. I guess I'd feel flattered if someone said that, but then it'd make me feel a bit pressured to keep up my appearance!
