What is the best way to give a pot bellied pig a shot?

• Seriously....I called the vet this Morn,( before I posted the question) he is unable to come out to the farm today, and it is something she MUST have today, so I have to pick up the medication and administer the shots myself, since I've never done it, it made me nervous, I was told to Plunge the needle in hard and was just looking for other "Educated" answers....Because plunge hard seemed harsh...I am a highly educated woman, Just never given my pet a shot before and was nervous about doing so.

• I really appreciate your comment, you must have felt that I am a caring person. I am so sorry but when you were told to plunge it deeply in I assume that there is no danger involved to do so ( into the behind I assume because there is no bone to be hit). I wish you courage to do so. Maybe you wait until a vet might answer here....Good luck!

• what I felt was offened anyone would sugest or think that I'd bring harm my pet by being ignorant enough to do it with out a vets recommendation or guidance....But I guess it was a vague question,though I was really just looking for and EDUCATED or EXPERIENCED answer/2nd opinion...No not in the behind,in the fat between the shoulder and the neck.

• Oh, you know even where the exact spot should be! All you need now is courage, as I said. My answer must have been terrible because I was downrated. Answerbag has not only experts, everyone can answer to his/her ability.
