I remember the case.
Definitely not murder, as i don't believe their was any intent to kill the baby.
From what i remember, she just totally lost it, and shook the baby to death out of frustration, she was also lonely in a foreign land, and must have just seen the red mist and snapped - not that that is an excuse.
Possibly guilty of manslaughter.
Hmmmm, cant really remember too much of it but my gut feeling was that she was either guilty of manslaughter or it was the parents..... they just gave off a wierd vibe.

You're reading Remember the controversial Louise Woodward case? Did you believe she was guilty of murder, guilty of manslaughter or innocent?

Thanks Holmeboy =) Since then they have new understanding of shaken baby syndrome (i think that's what it would be called), so I wonder whether she would be found not guilty if tried today!

Perhaps not, i remember she didn't go to prison for very long, i saw her once, in Chester City Centre, not long after she got back to the UK, i was coming out of the Library.
To be honest, i don't know enough about it all, but i definitely don't think she was guilty of murder.
