Thank you Jenn. I kinda sorta agree with you, but then again my generation had THE LOST BOYS and TWLIGHT pales in comparison (pun intended). However, when I was a tween and young teen vampires were not as "public" as they are now. Although I haven't read any of the TWILIGHT books, I have skimmed through them and they seem to convey more than the movies. The movies have only so-so special fx and the acting is kinda not so good. Edward Cullen is way too white and way too girly looking. I agree that the glitter doesn't help. I think the books are pretty intelligent for the story they're trying to tell, but indeed, we must not forget the classics. :)
