Help answer this question below.
As with most things in life, finding a balance in this is the key. Too much of a "kid," and you neglect your responsibilities and become a burden on those around you. Too much of an "adult," and you wind up being a curmudgeon that no one likes to be around because you're too sober and grim. Strive for balance, Grasshopper! : )
It depends on what you mean by being just a big kid. A person can be child like at times which can be a lot of fun and somewhat endearing or they can be childish. Being childish is not someone I want around me for very long. Therefore if being just a big kid means childish than it is a bad thing.
There is a time and place.
I think if you allow the kid in you to die, you become old very fast. There are times when being serious is necessary. But if you approach everything in your life as an "adult" you miss out on the magic and mystery and fun of being alive....plus you're not much fun to be around! :)
I think as long as you take care of your resposibility you should be as big of a kid as you want. You should even use phrases like:
"I'm not childish you stupid poopie-head!" lol
If they can be a big kid, and be responsible adults at the same time, its good. If they are neglecting their family, finances and all that grown up stuff, its bad.+5
Sounds kinda annoying.
i always been a big kid and when im not a big kid im regressing back to being a baby
i agree there is a time and place
but deep down everyone is a big kid at heart its up to the person whos acting like a kid to conduct them selfs in way where they look like a complete dick or balance where u look like kid but a adult at the same time
As long as they are a responsible adult, i think it's a very good thing ;)
What's wrong with an adult wanting to have a lil fun? Nada =)
P.S. I am too
Sometimes we have to explore our innerchild.... Yehaaaa;) LOL
im a big kid some times
Having a sense of fun, being able to laugh and be silly at appropriate moments is great.
Acting like a spoiled brat, throwing a tantrum when things dont go your way is inexcusable.
What's that 'ole saying, Marky Mark, about a guy never REALLY growing up. His "toys" just get more expensive?! I see nothing wrong with that. But when a man is still "just a big kid" with financial matters and irresponsible, then that's a BIG problem!
I feel it is a good thing - we have the rest of our lives to grow up, why rush it? We're grown up much longer than we are being a kid. I say extend it as long as you like. Being a big kid while taking care of responsibilities isn't hard to accomplish.
There's a time and a place for being a big kid, but I don't think it's a bad thing. Kids have a pretty fantastic outlook on life.
It would be a bad thing.
A person must pass through several stages during life.
Overlapping is acceptable while passing from one stage to the next for brief periods.
But overlapping of the stage of childhood with that of the adult would be highly undesirable.
It depends on the particular circumstances. It can be both. If a person is fun and makes you laugh, it can be good. But, for example, if he is married say and does not do his bit towards supporting his wife and children in any way, I suppose that may not be so good.
Well, AB is my playground, so I'll leave the judgement to others (and sometimes I get it).
