Help answer this question below.
Was she or was she not in the house during the murder? Knox initially told investigators she was in the house when Kercher was killed and covered her ears against the victim's screams. Later, Knox said she wasn't in the house.
Knox is lying, contradicting herself, so it's not looking good for her.
Good thing the trial is taking place in Italy and not in the US, at least there's no danger of her being executed.
way to make this question a set-up.
I'm pretty sure Foxy Knoxy is guilty
She's good looking, so she thinks that she's above the law, and that makes her guilty. :p
My honest opinion is different than that, but that's would I would say if I wanted to get out of serving as a juror for her trial. ;)
I know we must presume everyone innocent until proven guilty. I am not part of the jury though, so I don't mind saying, from what I have seen and heard -- She seems guilty.
Myself - no, but if you are implying that a person's looks and/or social standing influences others' perceptions of guilty or innocent, I would agree. Many people believe stereotypes and make assumptions based on age, looks, gender, ethnicity, financial stability, etc... It is usually those who already face a multitude of obstacles in life who are negativelhy impacted by these beliefs.
Her nationality, gender, ethnic origin and appearance have nothing to with anything. She is innocent until proven guilty - that's the way the law works in most countries. Also, I won't be in court to hear all the evidence, so I will never be in a position to express an opinion on her guilt or innocence.
Everyone, EVERYONE is presumed innocent until proven without a reasonable doubt that they are guilty.
No matter race, creed, color, gender or any other human factor.
Gosh. Very sad story. Will have to wait until the outcome of the trial to know whether or not she is guilty. Criminals come in all shapes, colours and sizes.
you just killed someone accidentally, knocked em over the head with a hammer-what's the perfect cover up to conceal what you have just done

You're reading Pretty American student Amanda Knox is on trial in Italy for murder. (LINK) Do you think she's guilty? or are you inclined to think she's innocent just because she's young, white and pretty?

Part of what I'm curious about is whether her good looks make it more likely she'll be convicted or released. :D

I realised that but I deliberately ignored the reference to her physical appearance because I can't believe and I do hope that even the Italians would not allow themselves to sink to those depths that would just end up in having their justice system ridiculed.

Deep down, we all have feelings, intuitions, prejudices, no matter how small, no matter how much we suppress them... that affect our feelings about justice.

Agreed! That's human nature.
However in most countries where justice is not (supposed to be) affected by corruption and where the press is free to report (they would have a field day) we SHOULD be able to trust our judges.
Only time will tell.
