If the world was only created when "god" said it was. How is it that there are finds or people from about 250 thousand years ago and dinausors?

• Actually, that was Bishop Usher, and he was neither mediaeval nor catholic. The Bible does not say how old the universe is.

• No the bible clearly speaks of the number 7... wich is how many days it took "God" to create the earth. How can you believe that there's this magical supreme being out there who created everything and not have a reason. No religious person truly has an answer for why we're here and how we got here. You just believe what you were told in a bible that has been re-written over a million times.

• Got proof that the Bible has been rewritten? Archaeologists keep finding ancient pieces that MATCH what we use today. And in the original, 'day', 'time' 'era', and 'epoch' all used the same word. You have to put it in the context of the time, not today's context.

• September: God created the world in six days, not seven. He rested on the seventh. That is, of course, if you take this story literally and not as a metaphor! Can't be bothered to "explain". Just look things up for yourself.

  The Middle Ages (which is the period also referred to as "medieval") ended around the end of the 15th century (about 1485). James Ussher was born **100 years after the end of the Middle Ages**, meaning he was not a "medieval" bishop.

  Secondly, he was not ordained in the Catholic Church. He was ordained in the "Church of Ireland," which, *at the time*, was a Protestant denomination. This means that James Ussher was also not Catholic, further established by his command that "to consent that [Catholics] may freely exercise their religion and profess their faith and doctrine is a grievous sin."

• If an omnipotent being needs to "rest" on a seventh day, that seventh day is part of the Creation. After all, if he hadn't rested, he might have pulled a muscle and triggered the Flood a few millennia early...

• That's why I said 'never mind'. But when I was in school, the Middle Ages extended from 500 t0 1500 AD. Which would make him Medieval. Besides, it's just 100 years. One generation. Why so picky?
