Help answer this question below.
I would choose Perseus in Greek Mythology. His exploits provide the founding myths with all of the Twelve Olympians. His adventure include killing the monster Medusa. It is one of my favorite Greek myths.

You're reading I'm trying to write a compare/contrast essay where we have to compare something containing greek mythology, and I want the other part to have to do with Artemis Fowl. I can compare stories, characters, etc. Any suggestions please?

How would I compare/contrast that to Artemis Fowl though? ^^; That's my problem. I'm trying to relate certain stories or characters from Artemis Fowl to stories/characters in Greek mythology.

I don't know that much about Artemis Fowl, but I did go through several websites to learn a little bit about him. I do know how to write a paper comparing and contrasting characters. I would first make a list of the all characteristics of each character---1. list one===Artimis: write everything you notice about him. Write a description of how he looks and how he acts. 2. List two: do the same for Perseus. I gave you a link so read up on that. If you have books of Greek Myths, this is even better.
(I'll add more under this comment.)

After you have the descriptions of both characters and what they looked like and how they acted (like brave, strong, killed many monsters and the names of the kinds of monsters), Write a paragraph telling how these two characters are the same. Like they are both heroes, try to destroy evil, kill monsters that are bad, try to save the girl, etc. This will take time, but it's easier than contrasting. (continued)

For contrasing, notice how they are different. Pretend they are two of your friends and remember how you like your friends, but they are different in some ways. Artemis may be a hero from the future and is completely made up. Perseus, on the other hand is a myth. Myths are created for a reason. They are about the psyche of a culture. That's one way to describe one contrast. I would start writing questions to myself about the characters first before I would start writing. They may have different styles of solving problems. They may fight different kinds of battles. They may have met different monsters. There are so many ways they could be different.
