Meh, I've stood on a bed of nails before. Wasn't any pain. Was just a little uncomfortable.
If they danced on a bed of 100 nails it would be more impressive. The more nails there are, and the closer together, the more distribution there is of their weight and less pressure from each nail point.
A lot easier then dancing on only 100 nails. Because there are so many nails (very close together too), the weight is distributed evenly and will not puncture the foot. If there were less nails further apart, she couldn't do it. That is the same trick as sleeping on a "bed of nails." Also a dancer's foot is very calloused.
WOW! That is crazy!
that is insane
They have white coats of something around them. It must support the feet somehow.
The same thing I would think when I see someone walk on a bed of hot coals. The mind is a very powerful thing and it can control how the body reacts. It is mysterious and magical and unknowable! :)
The important thing is for the nails to be spaced very close together, and it's VITALLY important not to lose your footing and fall face first.
Thats more than what i can do :)
Wow that looks like a bad idea...

You're reading What would you think of a dancer daring to dance barefoot on a bed made of 10,000 sharp upright nails? (see link)

I have seen circus people lying down on them and then heavy weights being placed over them. But seeing dancing this is the first time.
