Help answer this question below.
CNET weeds out the bad mirrors pretty well.
Often when a site can't be verified, that could mean many things and most of them are innocuous. Hell, I've gotten that message from the Microsoft website MANY MANY times! (They self-sign their certificates, and that trips an alarm.)
However, Frostwire is inherently unsafe. WEll, not Frostwire so much as the Gnutella network. Try eMule Plus instead. More good files, fewer viruses, and generally a better network and program.
Download the file from Frostwire 4. Tha file is hosted on the official website

You're reading Where can I find a safe version of Frostwire? I've tried CNET (verifies downloads as safe) but every time I try 2 download it from there it takes me 2 a mirror page & when I attempt 2 download it from there it says the publisher cannot be verified?

Personally, I use MLDonkey which is a multi-network client that is also capable of handling torrents. However, I do *not* recommend MLDonkey for those without some skill for three main reasons.
1) It has no interface; you have to download and install one. MLDonkey is the "backend" but you need a good "frontend". For a Windows user, Sancho is probably the best one.
2) It's a little tricky to configure.
3) It cannot search for torrents directly. To use BitTorrent, you have to search on the Internet, download the "stub", then tell Sancho to open it. There is a way to hack it so that Sancho will open the BT link automatically, but that method is not reliable so you often have to open the *.torrent file manually.
Because most of the files I do are fairly small and BitTorrent seems to specialize in files over 100MB, I find that the eMule network is the best for things like individual songs. BT is mostly a waste for the type of stuff I look for.
There are things that I would get 2-3 hits on with Limewire and 12-50 with eMule, and others that Limewire could not find at all but eMule found at least 5 hits. Therefore, I consider the eMule network *FAR* superior.
The eMule Plus client ( http://emuleplus.info/ ) lacks BT support but is as easy to use and configure as Frostwire. Don't confuse it with the eMule client ( http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1 ) as that "Plus" includes a few nice features that the "normal" version lacks.

Jerv, oh nevermind I just needed to give it time to find the server, so far it seems alot faster that Frostwire and I like it - Is this fairly good for downloading movies - I wanted to see last of the mohicans ?

It may take a few minutes to connect.

I have found some movies on there, but most of my searches automatically filter out anything >50MB (like most movies) since I am often looking for other stuff.
On the rare occasions I have looked, I found the movie I was looking for though.

It helps to have a good server list.
http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html has great server lists if you can put up with a tasteful NSFW ad or set up an AdBlock filter to block it
http://www.server-met.de/ isn't as good but at least there won't be any (tasteful) nudity or need to block images
