Some of the answers on here are ridiculous......yes, you could use food dye, in whatever color you want, but it'd have to grow out or be bleached out, and that's something you don't want to mess with; trying to bleach out food color!! food color is PERMANENT...........you could use Jello or Kool-Aid, but I don't know the exact amounts, etc......So really, if you stop and think about it, your'e better of not doing it at home, with anything; either 1/go to a salon and get it done right, or 2/get a wig and save both time and money!!!!!!

Try food coloring, bleach, or Kool-aid.

Well, you can steal the dye from the store, but I don't recommend it.

You can also go to a hair salon. This costs more than doing it at home but it's much better for your hair (because of the quality of dye they use and because of their expertise).

If you have blond hair you can also temporarily dye it with kool-aid or food colouring. It'll wash right out though.

put lemon juice in you're hair and go out in the sun for awhile.

it will lighten the color, give yourself highlights

Well.. I heard chlorine makes blonde hair slightly green. Other than jumping in the swimming pool, you could use henna. But unless you have the plant grown in your garden, you'd still have to go to the store to get a box of the instant, powdered version. I guess you could go to the salon, and they'll color your hair for you. But you pay more for their services than you would for that box of hair dye.

Well, you could steal it, I suppose, but a better alternative might involve food coloring.
