    Mr_Natural Abstractor of the Quintessence

Lack of government oversight under Reagan and the two Bushes has led us into the tar pit we're in today.

    • The country is broke and deep in debt. Dick and George borrowed and spent hundreds of $BILLIONS to finance their invasion and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. Are we safer now as a result? Where are we going to get the money to pay back these loans?

    • We're trapped in two expensive, unnecessary, unwinnable wars ("George's Wars"), with no end in sight.

    • The Secret Police, as authorized by Dick and George's "Patriot Act," listen in on our phone calls, read our email, and watch us scratch our privates using surveillance cameras. Are we safer, now that we're being wiretapped and spied upon?

All this could have been avoided with a stronger Democratic party. Instead, the weak-willed Democrats have usually capitulated to the radical right, the party that has borrowed and spent our nation into oblivion.
