TPS is the throttle position sensor. It tells your PCM what the position of the throttle is in the engine. Yes it is a big factor. Check for loose or damaged wiring before throwing parts at it.

You're reading My friend lancer evolution 5 has a bad idle.The engine will suddenly stop when you rev most of the time the aircon is on.There's a check engine appear and we found out that it's the TPS is that a big factor?
