I have to interview someone for an admin job soon and I REALLY can't think what to ask them that isn't completely obvious and banal. Help!

    What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
    Where would you like to be in 5 years' time?
    What did you like best and least about your last job?

    I like the other ideas presented. I would also like to know why the person is interested in this particular job and what he/she would like to contribute to make this the best job and organization ever.

    Ask about skills and then according to skill you can ask about their experience. If somebody is bouncing, you can catch them.
