Stranger in a Strange Land

Question

Help answer this question below.

What is the point of flagging content if it's not upheld? I've flagged twice in the last 4 days; one was incomprehensible gibberish, the other clearly intended to encourage religious hatred. Neither upheld. Is anyone else frustrated by this?

Many are. Flags are made and accepted for good questions/answers, and flags are made and rejected for bad ones. Sometimes it seems the staff mods are asleep at the wheel.

You CAN protest the rejection, by replying to the email you received, and state your case, logically (not emotionally). You may never know if your flag is accepted except by your moderation points, but...

Flags are rejected by staff mods, most of whom are volunteers. They DO miss flags, either accepting bad ones, or rejecting good ones. And you would CERTAINLY not be the first to protest the rejection. Remember, too, that they are told to "err on the side of caution", if they are unsure. BTW: Your email does NOT go to them, but an admin, who has much more experience.
