If times are bad, that is the precise time to try and put into practice the things you can control that will cause a positive outcome.
That's why I can't stand it when people liken these times to the great depression. Things are tougher than they used to be, but as long as the Apple stores are bustling, people stand in line overnight for video game releases, every 10-year old has an iPhone and the theaters are full at $10 a ticket, things will be just fine.
