I wouldn't tell them about it unless you have to, like if it would affect your performance of the job directly. Otherwise they have no right to ask it. That's discrimination if they don't hire you because of something like that (unless it affects your ability to carry out your responsibilities in the job.)
I guess it depends on what kind of disorder you're referring to.
Are you asking about a handicap or something else?
The handicapped are protected by law. Otherwise it probably prudent to keep your disorder to yourself.
You can screw with them and confess that you are a "pathological liar". But they won't know if you are telling the truth or not.
You only have to tell them if the disorder will or could affect your ability to do the job. +5
It's illegal to ask you a direct question about a medical condition in a job interview unless the job has certain physical needs (like a construction worker or a dancer shouldn't have a bad back). But if you ARE asked, reply simply, briefly and without elaborating. I say that because it is very easy for the employer to verify whether you are telling the truth or not -- and if you are caught in a lie, you probably won't get the job.
