I work in Tech Support and Firefox isn't compatible with A LOT of website upgrades. I prefer Internet Explorer. I have never had a problem with it.

That may not have been an actual problem with Answerbag. Intellitxt is the company that AB uses to put the green underlined pop-up ads in their Q&A pages. Intellitxt's server may have been having problems handling requests in a timely fashion. If the problem happens again, there are ways of blocking Intellitxt's domain.

Yep. And when it happens, the Firefox logo in the upper right turns into a white rectangle. If you keep clicking and trying to do things while that white box shows in pace of the Firefox logo, the browser will totally crash and shut down. :(
