I don't. I want to force the insurance companies to stop refusing to insure me, because of my "pre-existing conditions" that I got fighting for my country.

All those proposals are saying is that the rich should give back some of the exorbitant tax cut that they were given by the Bush administration and use that money to subsidize health care. The way I see it is that this proposal is pre-budgeting the returned money that should never have been given. All it did was shift more of the burden of government support to the middle class.

Most of the military is made up of the middle class, most of the jobs lost were lost by the middle class, most of the money collected was from the middle class, virtually all of the health care is paid by the middle class. This trend must cease because the middle class is the most rapidly deteriorating.

Actually, everyone who has insurance now pays for care for the poor when they show up in emergency rooms and get unreimbursed care. Our nation pays for employer paid healthcare in lost jobs, because our companies have a 15% higher cost of doing business than competitors offshore. I want us to rationalize healthcare and make it available to all citizens. Doing that would serve the interests of ALL Americans and all who earn enough to pay taxes should help pay for it.

The Interstate Highway System serves all Americans, even those who have no car. We don't confine the use of highways to those well-to-do enough to pay for them, and tell poor people with no car that they can't buy food at the super market because it was transported over roads they didn't pay for.

I don't know how wealthy you are, Payton. But the rich have doubled their hold on the nation's wealth in the past 30 years. The wealthiest 1% now own 50% of everyting here and the remaining 99% divide up what's left. But apparently that's still not enough for GOPers. They call it class warfare and transferring wealth if we don't stack the deck so the top 1% ends up with EVERYTHING.

Well...healthcare is going to be payed by everyone. If you have a job or any income your gonna get taxed to pay for the healthcare.
So if you dont have a job chances is your probably already on welfare...meaning it probably doesnt matter to you that somebody else is paying for your healthcare.
It doesnt come from the rich, infact a small percentage comes from the rich, it mainly comes from america's bread and butter, the middle class folks.

An excellent question and point, Sir!

I don't want the rich to pay for my health care. I wanna be so rich myself, that I can pay for it on my own.

the highest tax bracket in the 1950s under that communist president and former supreme allied commander dwight david eisenhower was 92%. now it's 36%! the rich are getting off a lot easier than from 1860 to 1960. what i'd like is for our government to tax off shore accounts of drug dealers, politicians, businesses that avoid federal taxes, etc. that comes to $1.5 trillion a year. if we taxed that, it would be another $600 billion a year. if we reduced overspending on health care by $500 billion (37% of $2,500 is actually $925 but i propose expansion and improvement), we could SAVE $1.1 trillion a year, enough to pay off the national debt in 12 years!!! i think EVERYBODY OUGHT to be paying 1% more MEDICARE tax!!!
