What is the difference between a convention and a trade show?

    convention and trade show both play two different roles. Convention first role is to present speakers and hold discussion and exhibit play as a secondary role. In trade show the exhibit play a first role and if necessary then speakers play a secondary role. So, in trade show the participating companies exhibit or demonstrated the product and convention is formal meeting or discussion on particular purpose.

    The basic difference between convention and trade show, in Convention we communicate with listener or it is a formal meeting for particular purpose but in trade show the product or services are exhibited or demonstrated. This answer is according to my point of view.
