You have to look up the atomic weight in the periodic table. It's a gas so it takes the shape of the container. Then I believe, you have to figure out the volume of the container.
Wiegh a balloon. Fill it with helium. Tie a string to it and suspend weights until it hovers. Wiegh the string and weights. subtract the weight of the balloon. My students do this in class.
weigh an empty balloon ... fill it with helium and tie it off ... then weigh it again ... of course, since its going to float up, you may have to put the scale on the ceiling
