Solubility is a function of polarity and charge-charge/dipole-dipole characteristics. CaCl2 is a salt, this means that it is composed of charged species Ca2+ and Cl-. When placed in a polar environment the partial charges of the solvent molecule surround the ions and this is what is known as dissolving. Cyclohexane has no atoms that would give a charge differential, therefore no polarity or charge and no dissolution of an ionic solid.
