i noticing the changes, but not sick of AB. +5

The first time I heard someone make this kind of complaint was probably around early 2007 -- a couple of months after the points system was introduced. AB isn't changing, you're just starting to notice what's been there for a long time. People who keep participating find a niche they appreciate and ignore everything else.

I am definitely seeing changes, but still willing to give it the benefit of the doubt...for now!

'If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen'. AB is a social Q&A site, so of course there is some trolling, arguing, etc. to be expected. I haven't been here long enough to see any changes but I think it's a pretty good site compared to most other Q&A websites.

Of course those things are here, but then they are everywhere else too. I am amazed at the knowledge behind many of the answers and the comments. Some of the off-the-wall answers are very funny and certainly more entertaining than anything on television because they are real (or hopefully real).

AB is what it is just like the aholes are what they are. Acceptance is the key:)

I usually just lose interest in AB every now and then. But I usually get reinterested in it later. It's a cycle I tend to have.

Nothing is constant but change. Let's roll with the punches and let the chips fall where they may. The only thing I hate on here are the cliches. LOL.

Actually, AB is a HUGE respite from the immature teenagers, people at each other's throats, scams and trolls ... of everyday life. At least here I can turn it off whenever I feel like it.

Not sick of it per se, but I do see what you mean, and for that reason, have stopped giving any real serious answers or putting much effort into them quite a while back. I'm sick and tired of being blasted for my opinion or flamed outta nowhere just cuz some fuck doesn't like me, as I'm sure you are sick of it just as much. People commenting on your answers and offering nothing but insults and self righteous bullshit about how they're better than you, and usually through much improper spelling and grammar. I often tell people I disagree with them and then say why, hoping to learn something, and what am I met with? The same about you being as bad as a child molester for being an atheist. Like seriously. Even high school wasn't that bad. It's still a fun place to screw around in though, but I wouldn't take it much more serious than that. I see how it's saddening though, as there are definitely people on here, you for example, plenty more in my friends list and out of it, who are totally worth the time to listen to and interact with. I enjoy it, and it's nice to know you can get into fun and serious convos with a few folks, despite the assery which constantly occurs around it. If it weren't for that, I'd go screw around with video games a little bit more than I do now. I know people online are real people and should be treated as such, however it's discouraging that people say or do whatever they want behind the anonymity of online. I might screw around as I keep saying, but it's for shits and giggles and I don't attack people personally or make this dump my life. But then people jump down my throat because the internet; serious business. I guess I'm no better than anyone for mostly giving offensive or nonsensical answers three quarters of the time, I admit and acknowledge this, but as I say-I'm really just here to piss around or say hi to friends. Pretty ironic statement given that my answer is a novel haha, but unlike everyone else, I realize that I suck. Has this place changed much? I don't know about that, I think it's always been a part of it. It's just that the longer you're here, the more you loose your AB virginity which, at first, makes it seem very different especially if it's your first Q&A site, and as such, get to learn what its core reserves. Oh things change, we had cliques, trolls, fake deaths, even financial extortion outta fucking pity, whatever you want...the rainbow has different colours but they all lead to the same pot of shit, so to speak. It also doesn't help that this site is user moderated, and as such, I believe the work into dictating what goes and what stays is shoddy at best. Who knows what the staff are thinking. You can have the word gay in your username, but you can't have naked. I'm all for homosexuals and nudists, but I admit that I don't understand the reasoning behind this. The member base is often discouraging, but that which dictates its flow is even worse. But that may be because this site was originally based on information and fact, not a social site...I could go on from there, but I got downrates to count. ZOMG MAH PRECIOUS POINTS lulz. :D When people say this place "changed" I usually attribute it to them having a hissy fit because someone was mean to them or didn't agree with them-like how someone says they're being trolled because they got two downrates in the last 48 hours-but I know that you are an exception. You're way too awesome and down to earth for pity parties, and I believe that your discontentment is genuine and honest, which must make your experience here suck even more. But we need you over on AB, please don't leave. *Cuffs.* :) But I'm also a cranky nihilist, so don't mind me. *Looks all cute.*
