Americans: why this fuss about state-sponsored health care? It works elsewhere. It's one of the reasons we HAVE states. I don't get it.

Those who are against it will tell you that it doesn't work elsewhere. They will tell you that the current US system is so good, and the Canadian system so bad, that Canadians flock over the border to get treatment in the US.

They will tell you that the "socialized" systems in European countries don't work and will quote waiting times for non-urgent treatment as though they were the waiting times for essential life saving treatment.

In short, they will tell any lie to support their rigid belief in a system whose only saving grace is that it is "capitalist", and as such cannot possibly be wrong or have any faults.

Because the insurance companies and HMO's stand to lose massive profit margins if we go state sponsored health care.

Its not state-sponsored, its National Healthcare.

The Feds are going into the doctor business.

If the people do not want this, then why are the Feds pushing it so hard to pass?

No, it's not! Our nation was started in 1789, by people seeking Freedom from the Tyrannical Control of Others.... Others who would dictate their Religion, their beliefs, their speech, their movement, their employment and their activities.... Many more of of them, fought and died to eliminate slavery, usery, extortion, and racketeering... Even more, have died to preserve those principles - on down through the ages ever since!

For Too Damn Long, many more of us have remained silent... while our supposed brothers have raped, robbed, and stolen from us over and over and over again... simultaneously bad mouthing us, calling us hateful, selfish, and mean! And yet, who are the truly selfish ones?

Are we asking for your wealth, property, and Individual Freedoms and Rights? What gives you, or anybody, the right to the property or freedoms of another? Who are you? Are you God? Should we bow down and worship you, Your Excellency? No, Of Course Not... If you were God, then you would be - dare I say it - Godly in your thoughts and actions!

Capitalism is Freedom being expressed through individual choices and actions! Social-Fascism is merely the collusion of the corporations and government to destroy the Societal Middle Class! How can it be otherwise? The rich don't pay taxes and never did... they pass it along to the consumer in the form of higher prices. While the societal destitute - whom you've effectively trained to be that way - relies on us to feed them, cloth them, shelter them, etc....

The reason that we are ticked off, is because there's nothing left to take... our backs are against the wall... and you SOB's even want our blood! Health care isn't really the issue. Remember that straw that broke a camel's back? Well, you're it!
