I do not agree with your statement that they are the most racist;
The genocide of Ukraine by Soviet Union
The genocide of Jews by Germany
The genocide of China by Japan
The genocide of Rwanda by Rwandans
The genocide of Cambodia by Pol Pot
The problem with religion is that it's based on blind faith. Once you have succumbed to basically believing what people tell you just because they tell it to you, you become easy to manipulate.
There is a lot more out there than the U.S.
.
I thnk intolerance is an unfotunate human trait.
.
It knows no national or religious barriers. I think this is especialy true amongst the vast majority of believers in any faith who were born into it, identify themselves as belonging to a religion, but aside from periodicaly attending church, do not study the teachings indepth or apply them to their daily lives.
.
You seem to be talking about the U.S. only. I would question whether the south, in the U.S. is still more racist/intolerant or if you are applying historical events to the present day.
For the same reason most of everyone else is.
Wow so by your logic you know everyones thoughts? You never thought anything racist? You can lie to me,but God knows your very thoughts.See through Jesus my sins have been forgiven. You do know there isn't any minor sins don't you?Sin is Sin in God''s eyes.
Most of them have some sort of preference that goes against their religion, but they're afraid they'll get exiled from the church if they come out with it. +3
'Most Christians' aren't from the southern states. 'Most Christians' are scattered across the globe. 'Most Christians' don't belong to the KKK. You have generalized this question into meaninglessness.
We're not hypocrites, we're right! lol
Actually, I live in the Bible belt. I understand where you are coming from. All though not all Christians here are hypocrites, it seems like many of them are.
It is quite common to see a a so called Christian condem a person for an act that they are guilty of themselves, at least in my area.
Its easy to judge an entire religion you aren't affiliated with as hypocritical. You are judging the entire sect off a few things a few people said.
You need to come out the bushes on your history! Ralph Reed once the head of the Southern Baptist Conferences made an apology to Black America about how the churches taught blacks were meant to be slaves. It was once taught we were made black because our first father, Canaan look upon the nakedness of Noah. Gen9:22
one thing to remember EVERYONE is a little bit racist and i do mean everyone. it may be against one legged, red headed, step children but there is someone out there that you will behave in a racist manner to.
The idea that you think the South is racist, yet you IGNORE the entire rest of the world (which is virtually DRIVEN by racism and tribalism) makes your statement laughable.
Japan; foreigners can't own property in Japan.
Indonesia; foreigners can't own property in Indonesia.
Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, other middle eastern countries; slavery still exists.
Zimbabwe; don't even get me started.
Is it racist to call the black one Scary Spice?

So the north didn't own slaves huh?Do a little more research.+6
by Jesus is God on November 16th, 2009
I dont recall saying anything about slaves, I was referring to todays society, but yes they did originally own slaves. I have already done my research years ago.
However in the south, discrimination and racism, is more repetitious, I would also include the way they treat Mexicans at the border, Since this question asked about racism not slavery, it isnt the only racism in this country.

Do you know everyones thoughts? No,but God does.So you never have a racial thought?Be honest, cause you can't hide it from God.This notion that the bible belt is in the south is false. The truth is very few are christian, just because they go to church or claim to be christian doesn't mean a thing.Matthew 7:21-23.Jesus also said Narrow is the way and FEW there find it.This country isn't a christian nation,it is a nation with christians in it.The south is as unGodly as the north.Very few biblical christians, just a Jesus people make up in their heads.Example Joel Osteen and his notion that God wants us to be rich.Jesus offered the christian two things, eternal life and a cross to bear.

the south is no more racist then Indiana, Michigan, New York, and the list goes on! I grew up in Alabama, I saw separation of races, I saw KKK, Crossng Burnings, but nothing like what lies underneath the social fabric of the northern states.
