  • I cannot think that it would be healthy for her to chew on leaves. What you can try is to put down a patch of grass in a garden container. It might be that she wants to chew on some green stuff. All the cats I know, mine included, chew on grass for their digestive system to work properly. You should be able to buy a patch of grass from your nearest nursery, or you can even ask someone for a small patch from their garden.
  • The balcony is more dangerous than the leaves. Cats do not have depth perception. They don't realize they aren't on ground level and could easily go over or through the openings. The majority of cats in treatment at a vets suffer from broken limbs due to falling from a balcony, especially the 2nd and 3rd floors up. Do not think you cats won't do something like that because you don't know when a fly or something is going to go by that it will try to catch.
